A meeting of the Pine Tree Square & Compass Club was held at the home of Chester Davis with 7 members present. The meeting was called to order by the Chairperson Chester Davis Jr. at 19:00 hours.
The secretary’s report for the March meeting was read and accepted as read, followed by the treasurer’s report. The treasurer reported finances on hand.
New business:
1. It was voted on and accepted to move some money from the checking account into the savings account, so we may obtain some return on our money.
2. A motion to donate money to the concert in the park for this
Summer season. After much discussion the motion was turned down.
3. A motion to buy 6 light blue summer hats and 1 winter hat with the
Star in the East logo. The motion was passed.
4. Other topics discussed and no action taken were
A. Becoming visible in the community
B. Improve the looks of the outside of the lodge hall.
C. Outside sign for the lodge.
D. Cleaning and organizing the inside of the building.
5. Plans for the April 16th One Day Maine Way Master Mason degree and Spring Fling cookout were made members of the club will donate the food and other supplies needed to put on the dinner.
Old business:
A get well card was sent to DDGM Charles Norburg after under going knee replacement surgery.
Bylaw changes for the club were not discussed.
