
MISSION STATEMENT
It shall be the mission of PINE TREE SQUARE & COMPASS CLUB to help aid and assist the lodge and other worthy organizations, charities and/or individuals in the local communities.
PINE TREE SQUARE & COMPASS CLUB will promote the virtues of the Masonic teachings. Educate and become visible within the communities and the Masonic families.
It will also organize and promote functions for the families of Masons, while promoting friendship and harmony within those families and their communities
This club shall hold a monthly meeting on the first Thursday of each month at 19:00 hours with the following exception:
A: In any month that the first Thursday shall fall on a given holiday the
meeting will be held on the following Thursday.
B: An annual meeting will be held on the first Thursday in February at
19:00 hours.
C: The club shall recess for the months of July and August.
OFFICERS:
A: At the annual meeting in February the members present shall elect
officers for the ensuing year, by a show of hands
B: Officers to be elected are Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson,
Secretary and Treasurer for a one year term.
COMMITTEE MEMBERS:
A: Committee members shall be elected to any standing committee for a one
year term.
CHAIRPERSON:
A: It shall be the duty of the Chairperson to call the meeting to order and
conduct the meeting in an orderly manner.
VICE-CHAIRPERSON:
A: It shall be the duty of the Vice-Chairperson to help aid and assist the
Chairperson and assume his duties in his absence.
B: The Vice-Chairperson will assume the duties of the Secretary or
Treasurer in their absence.
SECRETARY:
A: It shall be the duty of the Secretary to keep an accurate record of the
proceedings of each meeting, give an accurate report of the same at the
next monthly meeting, executing a signed hard copy to be kept in archive.
B: To collect dues and turn all monies received over to the Treasurer.
C: To keep an updated membership list including addresses.
D: Do any communications deemed necessary by the Chairperson.
TREASURER:
A: It shall be the duty of the Treasurer to receive all the monies, pay all
expenditures, keeping an accurate accounting thereof.
B: The Treasurer shall give an up to date report of all finances at each
monthly meeting executing a signed hard copy to be kept in archive.
COMMITTEE:
A: A committee shall be formed as needed after a majority vote of the
members present.
B: A committee shall become null and void as soon as the purpose for
which it was formed shall have expired.
C: Committee members shall be elected for the period of one year or
until the annual meeting in February.
D: Committee heads shall give a report at each monthly meeting.
MEMBERSHIP
CHARTER MEMBERS:
Charter members shall consist of the six (6) founding members as listed.

MEMBERSHIP:
A: Membership shall consist of STAR IN THE EAST LODGE members,
having made application, paying a five (5) dollar membership fee to
Pine Tree Square & Compass Club and receiving a favorable ballot on
their application.
B: The fiscal year for membership shall be the calendar year January 1
through December 31.
C: A member may hold duel membership with any other lodge but must be
in good standing with Star in the East Lodge.
dues after one (1) month or thirty (30) days after the annual meeting.
E: A member shall be dropped from the membership list if he is suspended
from Star in the East Lodge or is granted a demit by the lodge.
F: A member dropped from the membership list wishing to regain
Membership must reapply.
Dues
A: The annual dues for membership shall be five (5) dollars each year.
TRANSACTION OF BUSINESS
BUSINESS:
All business shall be brought before the membership present for discussion, before a vote or action is taken on the business.
AMENDMENTS
AMENDMENTS:
No amendments, alterations or additions shall be made to these bylaws except at the annual meeting or by the following exceptions listed and with a unanimous vote of the members present.
A: Proposed changes to the bylaws by a member must be made in writing
and presented to a member of the Bylaws Committee for presentation before the membership. Such proposals shall be reviewed and a recommendation given on that proposal at the next monthly meeting.
B: Proposed changes to the bylaws may be brought before the membership
by the Bylaws Committee for a discussion and a vote at any monthly
meeting.
C: Proposed changes to the bylaws brought forth at any monthly meeting
by the Bylaws Committee must receive a unanimous vote of the members
present.
